Our story

Grainfold began with a simple frustration: most desk accessories were either beautifully designed but lacked functionality, or practical but uninspiring. We wanted to create something different—a collection of products where thoughtful engineering and timeless design work together seamlessly.

Behind Grainfold is Ilango Lourdudoss, a versatile engineer and product designer with extensive experience developing products from concept to production. Throughout his career, he has worked across industrial design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and product development, giving him a unique perspective on how great products are created—not just how they look, but how they function, feel, and are made.

Grainfold is the result of that journey. Every product begins with a genuine need, is refined through countless iterations, and is crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
